Note the following details from the messaging section of your preferences page: "connection port," "private messaging proxy," and "assigned messaging identifier." If you can't recall your password, click "Reset Identifier Password" and save the new value (you can change it later using your messaging client).

In your alternative client, select "Add Account."

Choose "XMPP" as the protocol, enter your password, use the part after "@" as the domain, and the part before "@" from your "assigned messaging identifier" as your username. Then, set "private messaging proxy" as the connect server and specify the "connection port" in the "advanced" settings. Finally, in the proxy settings, choose Socks5 as the type, set the host to 127.0.0.1, and the port to 9050.

Click "Add" to complete the setup.
